Tips and recycling near you
If you’d rather take things yourself, Chester’s household recycling centre is on Bumpers Lane, off Sealand Road, CH1 4LT, open 8am to 4pm from October to March. Tattenhall has its own centre too.
Cheshire West and Chester residents register their vehicle online once. For one or two big items, the council’s bulky items collection was £25 an item when we checked in November 2026. See the council’s waste and recycling pages. For a whole house, one clearance is usually easier than a dozen trips.
